MA ELKS STATE POOL TOURNAMENT

The MA Elks State Pool Tournament Committee hosts an annual 8-Ball competition between teams of 3 Elk Players. This Tournament is just one out of the many great ways the MA Elks gives its Members fun activities to participate in, all while helping communities all around Massachusetts with its proceeds! Elks Care, Elks Share…and Elks have fun, too!

TOURNAMENT UPDATE 3/2/25:

What a GREAT tournament we had this year! All the Teams and Players did a fantastic job and should all be proud! We hosted a total of 26 teams, equaling 78 MA Elks Members playing! We couldn’t be happier!

Congratulations to our Tournament Champions from the Hyannis Lodge #1549, Jeff Deitke, Paul Haydon, and Matt Lapine! This team took 3rd place back in 2023 but turned up the heat this year for the win! Congratulations #1549!! You should be proud!! Congratulations to the second-place team from the Natick Lodge #1425, Gary Henderson, Adam Marsh, and Brian Leblanc! Congratulations are also in order for the third-place team from the Billerica Lodge #2071, Mike Allgaier, Joe Casiabetta, and Robert Johnson. ALSO, thank you to all our GREAT sponsors!

2026 Tournament Details

2026 Date: Saturday, March 7, 2026 (If bad weather on the 1st, a rescheduling date of Saturday, March 14th is set.)

Player Check-In Time at Venue: 7:30am – 8:30am (note, teams must pre-register before January 31, 2026.)

Introductions, Rules of Play: 8:30am – 9:00am.

Tournament Start Time: 9:00am

Venue Location: Shooters Bar & Billiards, 70 James Street, Worcester, MA 01603.

Cost: $110 per 3 Elk Team.

Eligibility:

-Any person that is a current MA Elk in good standing on the day of the Tournament is eligible to play.

-Lodge’s can have more that one team! Each Lodge is ENCOURAGED to submit more than one team!

-Only one team player has to be from the Lodge submitting the team.

Team & Sponsor Registration Deadline: January 31, 2026. All teams and sponsors must be paid by this 1/31/26 date.

Food, Lunch for Participants, Breaks During the Tournament: Team registration includes a very satisfying hot lunch for each registered player, catered by a local restaurant. Lunch is served to players at 12:00pm (noon.)

Starting at 1:00pm, the venue offers a vast food menu until the end of the tournament for a reasonable cost. If desired, there are also many fine restaurants in the area. During the tournament, see Chris Melanson on timeframes for your play. The longer you’re in the tournament, the longer your day will be! You will have time to leave the venue to rest, grab a bite to eat, or a coffee, but please just confirm with Chris first on when you’ll need to be back.

Raffles: We will conduct raffles at this tournament. We appreciate your participation in the raffles!

50/50 Raffle Tickets: 1 Ticket for $5.00 or 3 Tickets for $10.00.

Pools & Cues & Spas, Too Raffle: Winner has a choice of 1) a $300 Pools & Cues & Spas, Too Gift Certificate OR 2) a Cue & Case valued at $300. Tickets: 1 Ticket for $5.00 or 3 Tickets for $10.00.

Duration of Tournament: Again, the longer you’re in the tournament, the longer your day will be. The top 3 winning teams are typically called around 8:00pm.

Overnight Lodging: Safety is ALWAYS first when it comes to a MA Elks Event! There are many hotels in the area of the venue. If you are interested in staying overnight before or after the tournament and need assistance finding the right hotel, please feel free to reach out to Chris. It is the individual player’s responsibility for safe transportation to and from the venue.
